Continuing Education and Professional Development Workshops for Educators
Designed for Educators in ALL content areas
Galveston Arts Centers offers professional development workshops providing educators hands-on training in both visual arts techniques and arts integration strategies for the classroom in all content areas. Workshops will explore how to use contemporary art practices to enhance core subject learning, foster student engagement, and support diverse learners. Participants will gain experience with a variety of mediums and processes, from printmaking and sculpture to mixed media and illustration. By studying contemporary visual artists, educators can help students build foundational skills, connect classroom content to real-world applications, and engage in meaningful, project-based learning. Each session emphasizes practical strategies aligned with academic standards. Whether you’re new to the arts or looking to expand your toolkit, these workshops are designed to inspire creativity and confidence. Join us to connect with fellow educators and bring fresh ideas back to your classroom.
