Metal Working for Beginners | JEWELRY

In this beginner level metalworking class, led by local artist Krystal Miles, you will learn how to source and identify antique silver-plated flatware to make your own jewelry. You will then master the basic safety precautions skills specific to working with metal, as well as learn several silver polishing skills, cutting, filing, and bending techniques. We will finish with exploring embellishments, and you will leave with your own customized ring!

Nonmembers: $75

Deadline for enrollment is March 30.
Participant cancellation policy: missed or cancelled classes will not be refunded.
In the rare event of GAC cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, we will make every effort to schedule a make-up session on an alternate date.

For liability reasons, please do not register a student who is a minor unless you are their parent or legal guardian.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Teachers, counsellors, or members of the community etc. may nominate a student with whom they are professionally acquainted for a scholarship if they can attest to the the student’s interest in the subject and financial need. The student’s parent/legal guardian will be notified and given further instructions. You may not nominate yourself, your own child, dependent, or other close relation.
