Arrive at between 4:45-5pm for set up and meeting everyone!

Sandcastle instruction is at 5:00-7:00 PM 

This activity is perfect for all ages, whether you're celebrating Mother’s Day or just want to have some fun with the family. During the workshop, our experienced instructor, Emerson Schreiner, will guide you through the process of building sand castle sculptures, from basic techniques to more advanced designs. You'll learn how to shape and mold the sand, and how to add the finishing touches that will make your sand castles stand out.

Whether you're an experienced builder or a complete novice, our workshop is designed to be fun and engaging for all ages. We'll provide all the materials and equipment you need, so all you have to bring is your creativity and a sense of adventure!

CLASS FORMAT

This class is conducted on a Galveston beach. Exact location will be communicate to registrants the week before the event.

POLICIES

  • When registering include all family member’s attending this creative play day.

  • No refunds on registration fees.

  • In the rare event of GAC cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, we will make every effort to schedule a make-up session on an alternate date.

For liability reasons, please do not register a student who is a minor unless you are their parent or legal guardian.

About your instructor

Emerson is a painter and sand sculptor from west Michigan. He now lives in Galveston, Texas where he runs the Galveston branch of Sandy Feet Sand Castle Services. Emerson has been giving sand castle lessons and creating sand sculptures for events and competitions for many years and has taken home prizes in several Master's events, including Siesta Key’s Crystal Classic, Texas Sand Fest, and South Padre Island's Sand Castle Days. When he’s not on a pile of sand, you can find him climbing rocks, playing guitar, or trying to make friends with the local cats. Emerson is also a portrait painter, and has shown and sold his work throughout the country and even a bit beyond.
