Welcome to an Interstellar Art Experience!

Join us for an unforgettable adventure into the cosmos as we prepare to celebrate La Izquierda Fest 2024 with our Planet Party, where space, imagination, and creativity collide. This planet pop-up event is open to all ages, offering a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the universe through art-making activities. All created planets will be featured in the La Izquierda Fest 2024 celebration. May the Fourth be with you on this cosmic journey!

The event is FREE for all participants, but RSVP is required, seats are limited.

  • Recommended donation of $5 per participant to support the event's sustainability and future initiatives.

  • Dress in your favorite space-themed attire for an out-of-this-world experience!

All materials and supplies for this class are included with registration.

  • ENROLLMENT DEADLINE:  March 4 2024

    Late enrollment may be accepted, however some materials may be limited for late enrollees.

  • Group communications/announcements are conducted by email to the address entered at registration. Individual communications may be handled by phone/text.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Jessica Antonelli is a dynamic force at the intersection of art, activism, and community engagement. Jessica has been helping people make breakthroughs in drawing and painting for over 10 years in her art business, and serves as the dedicated Director of Operations for La Izquierda Fest, a 501c3 non-profit. 

After receiving her Masters in art education, she taught all ages in Texas public schools for 5 years, and won Teacher of the Year in 2013 for Galveston ISD. When adventured called, she listened. Jessica moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where she formed Antonelli Art School, and still teaches the most popular beginner drawing classes in town each February. Jessica now lives on the island, where she volunteers with Seeding Galveston and Galveston Art in Action when she’s not painting or offering art workshops.
