The Art Lending Library
Founded in 2016, Art Lending Library (ALL) is an art lending library in Galveston, TX.
A.L.L. operates like a regular library, but members check out original works of art instead of books. You may become a member by contacting ALL or by going to one of ALL’s Lending Events.
The program purchases artwork from Gulf Coast artists and lends it to members through an affordable subscription, allowing them to rotate pieces in their homes every three months.
After a successful run from 2017 to 2020, the Art Lending Library has relaunched in partnership with GAC to reach a larger audience and support more regional artists.
Nick Barbee founded the Art Lending Library to make living with contemporary art more accessible, addressing the cost and intimidation that often keep people away while helping local artists reach wider audiences.
ALL operates through tiered memberships, including standard, student, and premium “white glove” options.
