Like all nonprofits, GAC has ongoing needs for items like equipment, tools, storage solutions and upgraded technology. We know how important it is to have assurance that your donation will make a real impact on someone’s life, whether it’s a teenager on scholarship learning from a professional artist, a student intern having the technology she needs to turn an idea into reality, or a tired visitor being able to rest for a moment on one of our new gallery benches.
That’s why we’ve created an Amazon Wish List. Next to each item we’ve indicated the quantity that we need, the priority, and a short description. Any item can be shipped to the Galveston Arts Center, located at 2127 Strand, Galveston, TX 77550.
When you make a donation through our wish list and provide your name and contact information, you will receive an acknowledgement letter and our sincerest thanks! Your wish list donation will be devoted to exempt purposes and GAC will not provide benefits or services in consideration for this gift. GAC is a 501(c)3 organization and therefore you may claim a deduction for the fair market value of the donation to the extent allowed by law.
THE CLINT WILLOUR EXHIBITION FUND
Galveston Arts Center inaugurated the Clint Willour Exhibition Fund to sustain the legacy of excellence in contemporary art exhibitions established by our distinguished Curator who retired in 2016 after a 25 years of service. We would like to invite you to contribute to this endeavor in honor of Clint’s contribution to Galveston Arts Center and to the visual arts throughout Texas.
Exhibitions are the cornerstone of the Galveston Arts Center, and they attract thousands of visitors every year. The Clint Willour Exhibition Fund will act to inspire a life-long appreciation, awareness, and understanding of contemporary visual art to diverse audiences in our region. The Fund will support Galveston Arts Center’s Curator’s position and outstanding exhibitions of contemporary art.
All donors to the Fund will be acknowledged on donor recognition panels at the Galveston Arts Center, on our website, in signage for all future exhibitions, and in our Annual Report. Your contribution will enable the Galveston Arts Center to sustain the esteemed legacy of Clint Willour with vibrant exhibitions of outstanding contemporary art.
Please help us to make our 2016 Annual Fund the most successful one ever. Your gift is extremely important to us, because it provides immediate resources that meet our current needs and sustain our caliber of excellence that you are accustomed to. Your support is helping us use the power of art to make our community shine more brightly with vibrant cultural possibilities. Right here, right now. Everyone who works here is here to serve you. We all join together to thank you in advance for your generous tax-deductible gift.
Your contributions have helped make Galveston Arts Center what it is today. After our move to our newly renovated historic building on the Strand, we now have three galleries, a large studio/classroom, and a museum store. So, we can offer you 24 exhibitions annually and more compelling on-site programming such as our exciting lecture series, workshops by professional artists, and a plethora of exciting art classes for children, teens, and adults. We have something for all ages and all segments of our community. After all, Galveston Arts Center is a community arts center. It is your center. We are here to serve you and your family and friends – to inspire, engage, and inform you with an exploration of thought-provoking ideas about contemporary art.
