Lydia Bodnar-Balahutrak

In Discourse, Lydia Bodnar-Balahutrak creates paintings reflecting the historic and continued political turmoil of her ancestral homeland of Ukraine. Bold lines and mixed-media create a tangle of forests and nature obscuring the politically charged text in commemoration of Ukraine’s 25 years of independence.

Ann Sandberg
Children in Print

Sculptor Ann Sandberg creates life-sized figures in Children at Play, where the written record of current events become the metaphoric skin and bones of her subjects. Haunting and symbolic, her “children” are a literal result of the events, opinions, and ideas, both good and bad, of the world around them.
