Mokume Gane Technique Saturday, May 4 | 10AM - 4PM With award-winning designer Paula Kennedy Join Paula for her quarterly workshop at GAC and Learn the decorative polymer clay technique that mimics traditional Japanese Mokume Gane metalworking. Pete Gershon will speak about his book, Collision: The Contemporary Art Scene in Houston, 1972–1985, in conversation with artist Michael Tracy who lived and worked in Galveston during the 1970s. Tracy’s performance, Sacrifice I, 9.13.74 (The Sugar), which took place in the Imperial Sugar Warehouse in 1974 is documented in the book. Summer Clay Camps with Pat Johnson Acclaimed Texas ceramicist Pat Johnson is returning to Galveston for the third summer in a row to teach two camps at Galveston Arts Center: one from June 10-14, and another from July 8-12, both from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
