It is through the generosity of community-minded individuals, businesses that GAC is able to continue to present innovative exhibitions of contemporary art and educational outreach programs in Galveston free of charge.   • All Galveston service industry workers will receive 15% off of all class at GAC.

    Why:

    We believe that art education should be accessible to all and we aim to lessen the financial barrier.

    GAC is, and always will be, a creative space for everyone in our community.

    Since Galveston is powered by the service industry, we wanted to start by taking care of the humans that always take care of us. A step beyond tipping your bartender!

    How it works:

    • EMAIL: proof of service industry employment to kellie@galvestonartscenter.org)

    • POST: a GAC flyer at your workplace

    • SHARE: a GAC classes post on socials and tag us @galvestonartscenter

    • ENJOY: sign up for your class!

  • Thanks to several grants, GAC is able to provide scholarships our classes and programs to families in need. These scholarships greatly reduce the registrations fees for our camps and after school programs in order to made them more accessible to all members of our community.

    How it works:

    The process is simple, write an email to Kellie Rooks, Director of Education, at kellie@galvestonartscenter.org

    For grant purposes, the email will need to have the following info:

    • Full name of the child who will be receiving the scholarship

    • Name of programing the scholarship is being requested for

    • Formal request for scholarship stating why it is needed

    this narrative piece is necessary info for our current Grantors and also provides us with the information we need to be able to continue writing grants to received additional funding to the be able to provide these scholarships in the future)
